We are a growing and inclusive congregation alive with inspirational worship and life-changing outreach
Our Church
Fort Myers Congregational UCC was formed in 1976 and has been worshiping in the current building since 1979. Though our sanctuary was considered “modern” at the time – no bell tower or cross on the roof and an octagonal style sanctuary – our service and liturgy are still quite traditional. We have pews, hymnals and a wonderful organ. Our thinking, however, is anything but traditional. We are a theologically progressive Christian community.
Our People
We are a congregation of around 260 members and friends, split about evenly between year-round and seasonal residents. Few of us are Florida natives, but we have made southwest Florida our home. We are young and old, single and partnered, gay and straight, working and retired. So no matter who you are, or what you are, or where you’ve been on life’s journey, you are welcome here!
