Call to Worship – Rev. Wesley Snedeker
One: In the name of the Creator, the Christ and the Holy Spirit.
All:  Amen.
One: Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength,
All:   they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
One: they shall run and not be weary,
All:   they shall walk and not faint.
One:  We need this kind of hope.
All:    Come; worship the Holy One who meets us where we are.
Come; let us open ourselves to the God who lifts us up.
We are here to worship; we are here to surrender to God.

Opening Prayer (in unison)
God of Presence,
as you walked with Joseph after his time in the pit,
meet us in the midst of the challenges in our lives.
God of Renewal,
as you worked in and through the life of Joseph,
lift us from despair to hope,
from distraction to focus,
from hurt to forgiveness.
God of the Journey,
direct us in your way,
work out your purpose in and through our lives.
We pray in the name of Christ who lives and reigns with us
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
Amen.
