L.I.F.E. SACRED CONVERSATIONS
In the last four weeks our Justice Ministry Team Leaders have hosted four “House Meetings” as part of our congregation’s participation in LIFE (Lee Interfaith for Empowerment). Throughout this Fall there will be 60 meetings where about 600 people from 16 LIFE congregations will participate in such “Sacred Conversations.” These are conversations where participants share their experiences, or the experiences of people they know and love, of needing services for children or being affected by the affordable housing crisis. These are the two topics LIFE is currently addressing with local leaders and at the meetings you will hear reports of what is being done and be invited to become a Justice Ministry Network Member. Come to a “Sacred Conversation” at Fort Myers Congregational UCC offered at two different times: Tues., Oct 22, from 10:30 am to Noon or Wed., Oct 23, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Please RSVP by signing up in Fellowship Hall or contacting Jim Boler (jimsan3@live.com) for more information.

ALL SAINTS DAY
We will celebrate All Saints’ Day on Sunday, Nov. 3rd during worship. We will read the names of all who have died since Nov. 1st of last year. It will be a time of commemoration and remembrance. We will toll the chimes for each name as we remember that person’s impact on our lives. How can you help? During the month of October, we will be gathering the names of the deceased. You may submit the names of Fort Myers Congregational members, family members, friends, co-workers or neighbors. We will print the names in the worship bulletin on Nov. 3rd as we remember those who have gone before us. At the conclusion of the service, we will sing one of the greatest hymns of the church, “For All the Saints”. Please plan to submit names and be in attendance for this most meaningful service. Call the church office 239-482-3133 or send an email ofcmgrfmcucc@gmail.com
