RAISING THE ROOF – PROGRESS!

We are making PROGRESS! We have reached $14,650 in cash on hand for the roof, almost half of what we need for the first payment to the roofing company at the end of September. Add to that another $8,600 pledged ($23,250 gifts and pledges), we are almost a quarter of the way to our goal. Good progress in two weeks of our capital campaign.

GROW

GROW is FMCUCC’s adult enrichment series that draws from the unique strengths of our congregation to feed the minds and spirits of our community. The schedule for this season is still brewing, but we are happy to offer a preview with the announcement of two of this fall’s learning opportunities:
Gratitude Walk — After worship on Sunday November 10, guest facilitator Nancy Van Fleet will lead a workshop on the spiritual and contemplative practice of labyrinth walking, followed by a labyrinth walk in our own fellowship hall!
Can’t We Talk About Something More Pleasant? — Our Community Minister Wesley Snedeker will lead a discussion series on aging, caring, and end of life, using Roz Chast’s humorous and insightful graphic memoir as its primary text. Sessions will be held on the first three Thursday mornings in December (5, 12, 19) at 11:00 am.
Be on the lookout for more classes and the full GROW schedule coming soon!

CHOIR

Choir rehearsals will begin Wednesday, October 2nd at 7:00 PM. New members are welcome! For more information contact Amy Maneval at (239) 671-7634.
