Fort Myers UCC is happy to announce the hiring of Cezar Muñoz as Music Director. A native of Milwaukee, Cezar graduated from Ripon College in Wisconsin in 2012 and is currently pursuing an MBA with National University College. His music career began by accident when he mistakenly entered the band room on the first day of school and was not allowed to leave until the bell rung at the end of the period. That was all it took. Cezar changed his schedule to take band and has been a part of many musical ensembles and directed them as well. Included in his experiences are:
High School:
- Drumline coach for Fritsche Middle School’s B.O.S.S line, winning four city championships and being awarded best drumline at the County Fair two years in a row
- Assistant conductor for the Fritsche Middle School and Bay View High School Summer Marching Bands
College:
- Founded and directed the Ripon College Drumline
- Guest conductor and teacher for the Ripon High School Wind Ensemble and Choir
- Student conductor for the Ripon College Wind Ensemble and Choral Union
Cezar has also composed a number of choral, wind ensemble, and orchestra arrangements that have yet not been published. This is quite a list of accomplishments for someone so young! We anxiously anticipate his music leadership at Ft. Myers UCC.
