We show our love for those outside our community primarily through our giving and through our fundraising efforts.
- CROP walks – Some years we participate with other churches in our area in the CROP walk for hunger. Most of the money raised goes to hungry populations in the developing world, though up to 25% of funds may be donated to local hunger programs. (For more about CROP, click here.)
- UNICEF – Our youth take the lead in this program, generating enthusiasm and distributing collection boxes for our loose change. This past year they raised almost $800, specifically for the children of Haiti. (For more about UNICEF, click here.)
- Special offerings through the UCC – We have several offerings a year that support US and global initiatives, such as Neighbors in Need, One Great Hour of Sharing, and Strengthen the Church.
