Care for the Church

We show our love for one another by giving of our time.

  • Prayer Shawl Ministry – A group of women and men gather at church the first Tuesday of the month from 11:30-1:30 during “season” (November to May) for prayer, fellowship and sharing of their craft. Please join them, whether you are an experienced knitter or crocheter, or if you would like to learn. And bring a lunch if you like, as many in the group do!
  • Care Team (for home-bound members) – The purpose of this group is to visit those in our church family who are no longer able to worship with us because of mobility or other health issues. They may be in independent living or in a nursing home. The Care Team includes about 6 persons who have participated in the “Called to Care” training. Each member of the team calls on 1 or 2 home-bound friends once or twice a month. If you would like to learn more about this program, contact Pastor Dave or Deanna Fisher (239-693-4774).
  • Hospital Callers – When someone in our church family is in the hospital and would like a visit, we call on them. (Because of privacy issues, hospitals no longer automatically notify the church, even when the patient indicates church affiliation on their paperwork. Please contact the church to let us know you or someone else has been admitted. Even if the patient does not want a visit, let the office know so we can pray for them.)
  • Volunteer at the Church – There are many ways to make our church a better place for all by offering your time and talents. Some of these take place during worship and some happen during the week. To learn about these opportunities, stop in to the church office and ask Lisa what you can do.
