Once again, we are reminded of the generosity of our congregation when it comes to the children of Lee County. We asked for donations of school supplies for Harlem Heights, an area of about 450 low-income children who live just to the northwest of the Health Park medical complex. The appeal ran through the month of July and even though we have fewer persons in town during the month, we collected quite a lot!
A big thank-you to Robert Nolin, Max Hall, and Riva Wharton for packing up and delivering these supplies. They needed both Robert’s SUV and Riva’s car to carry all the donations. The Harlem Heights Center was delighted with our gifts. Thank you all!
